Merry GLOGmas! I was TheShribe's secret santa. I loved reading your posts and learning about the world of Sequoia. (A donut world with the sun in the middle!) My fav part was the star-snakes, and the mention of a super one.
"The star-snakes are the souls of the ancestors. When your body returns to the land and your spirit becomes one of the snakes in the night sky. They form the barrier between the world and the hungering void, protecting it until the time is right for it to be consumed."
"Immense cosmic snake that constricts the sun to stop it going supernova. It spits Exotics (known as snakestones) out to the planets below. They grant power but come at a cost."
It gave me the idea for someone who collects those snakestones, using the power inside to transform themselves or commune with star-snakes. Here is a GLOG Class based on that. My first one ever!
Snakestones are teardrop scales of warm, quietly humming obsidian. Pressing one to your skin for a minute melds it seamlessly to you, removable only by force. Each new snakestone adds +1 to your choice of Lying, Sneaking, or Intimidation, -1 to monster reaction rolls, and +1 damage received from cold or void-based sources. Some say that those who bind these stones to them are fools, doomed to slink in the shadows of society, skinning people they don't know for the favor of a master they don't understand.

Sense: You can feel the direction of the closest snakestone within [Templates] miles, and know if it is melded to someone.
Slither: You can evade an incoming attack [Snakestones] times per day. You can squeeze through any gap big enough for your head.

Swallow: You can engulf [Templates] things into a sort of spiritual stomach, suspending them in stasis. It's hard to watch. Dangerous or magical things are rendered inert. If you are hurt, everything comes back out.

Spirit: You can petition ancestor spirits for aid. When you sleep, you can choose to test CHR. On success, a star-snake delivers guidance for the following day, up to [Snakestones] words and [Templates] images. On failure, nightmares wrack you with exhaustion the next day.
